A tavern in the southwest suburbs of Boston has shut down.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Horse Thieves Tavern in Dedham is no longer in business, with a picture of a note posted in the thread saying the following:
We want to thank you for 5+ years of dedication. It is with a heavy heart that we are closing the tavern. The tavern has had a great run in the Square and we are very grateful to Dedham and the people of Dedham for supporting us.
Horse Thieves Tavern first opened in March of 2019 after being in the works for at least three years; the restaurant and bar featured a mix of classic American and New American fare while being known in part for its fireplace and its live music.
The address for the now-closed Horse Thieves Tavern was 585 High Street, Dedham, MA, 02026.
