A brand new Indian restaurant has come to a space a few miles west of Boston.
According to its website, Chennai Eats is now open in Watertown, moving into the former Don's BBQ/Avenue Deli/Strip-T's space on School Street, a short distance north of Arsenal Street. This jibes with earlier reports from multiple sources, including a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page a couple of weeks ago, saying that it was getting ready to open. The website indicates that it focuses at least in part on South Indian fare, including a variety of dosas.
The Don's BBQ closed down last summer after being in business for a bit under two years; the space had previously been home to Avenue Deli, and before that, Strip-T's.
The address for Chennai Eats is 93 School Street, Watertown, MA, 02472. Its website can be found at https://chennaieatsma.com/
