A Jamaican takeout spot in Dorchester is planning to move to a much bigger space that would presumably include dine-in service.
According to an X post from @WriteHandMan of the Dorchester Reporter, Murl's Kitchen is looking to move from its current space at 143 Washington Street to a new space at 10-18 Bowdoin Street, with the post saying that the business is applying for a full liquor license and plans to have seating for 150 and a private function room while the listing mentions that it would include both a dining area and bar seating. Murl's, which first opened in 2018, is known for such Jamaican comfort food dishes as beef patties, jerk macaroni and cheese, curry goat, rice and plantains, stew chicken, oxtail, jerk pork, fried lobster tails, wings, and salmon rasta pasta.
