A chain of bagel spots that is headquartered in Burlington, VT has closed one of its locations in Boston.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Bruegger's Bagels in downtown Boston is no longer in operation, with a sign up at the School Street storefront directing customers to one of its two remaining outlets within the city limits (in the Longwood area, with another being in West Roxbury). The downtown location had been in business since 1986, with the company itself starting out three years earlier in Troy, NY.
In addition to Longwood and West Roxbury, existing Boston-area locations of Bruegger's Bagels can be found in Auburndale, Bedford, Belmont, Brookline, Hingham, Lexington, Melrose, Milton, and Winchester.
The address for this now-closed bagel shop in downtown Boston was 7 School Street, Boston, MA, 02108. The website for the chain is at https://www.brueggers.com/
