A brewery in the Merrimack Valley is saying farewell to its current location, and it will apparently be reborn outside of the state.
According to a Facebook post from the business, Spicket River Brewery in Lawrence is leaving its Island Road space, with the post saying the following:
It is with mixed emotions that I announce the closing of Spicket River Brewery's current location....We are not closing our doors permanently; instead, we are relocating outside of Massachusetts to a vibrant new location. Here, I am excited to continue our journey and open a new space that embodies the true spirit and excellence Spicket River Brewery stands for.
The post does mention a dispute as being a root cause, saying that this has "made staying untenable."
Spicket River Brewery first opened its facility in the fall of 2019, residing on a small island between the Merrimack River and the North Canal within the North Canal Historic District. Its website can be found at https://spicketriver-brewery.com/
