The Gallows Is Making Plans to Return

It looks like a popular Boston gastropub that closed down a few years ago may be coming back.

According to an Instagram story from owner Rebecca Roth Gullo, The Gallows is planning to be reborn possibly sometime next year, with the Instagram page itself also stating this, saying "2026-rise from the phoenix? We miss you all." It isn't yet known where The Gallows might reopen (its old home on Washington Street in the South End was demolished to make way for new development), so stay tuned for updates.

Rebecca Roth Gullo first opened The Gallows in 2010, offering comfort food along with an array of beer, wine, and cocktails; her Gallows Group is also behind Blackbird Doughnuts, Banyan Bar & Refuge, and Sally's Sandwiches.
