A local restaurant group is in expansion mode once again, with a new dining spot on its way to the heart of Boston.
According to an article within the Restaurant Hospitality website, Coje Management Group is making plans to open an as-of-yet unnamed Sicilian restaurant in Post Office Square, moving into the same building as two of their other places--Mariel and Underground. In the article, COJE chief executive and co-founder Chris Jamison gives a bit of information on the upcoming dining spot, saying that "We're approaching it with a signature twist, I think....We're taking a look at Sicilian cuisine, which is an incredible melting pot of a number of different cultures -- North African, Arabic, Middle Eastern, Greek, French. The island's been conquered 400 times, so there's so many layers to the cuisine that has developed there." The new restaurant--which will also have a members-only club downstairs--is currently under construction and no opening date has been given yet.
In addition to Mariel and Underground, Coje Management Group also runs such spots as Yvonne's, Caveau, Ruka, Coquette, Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bars, and Mr. H.
