The Block to Open in Boston's Seaport District

A new restaurant and market will soon be coming to the Boston waterfront, and the owner of a dining spot in the same building is behind it.

Eater Boston is reporting that Kristin Canty of Woods Hill Pier 4 is planning to open the Block on Pier 4 Boulevard in the Seaport District in late May, and it will be a more casual concept than Woods Hill Pier 4 but will have the same focus on local ingredients as her other restaurants (which include Woods Hill Table and Adelita, both of which are in West Concord). The article mentions that the new restaurant will feature dry-aged beef that is grass-fed and grass-finished, while cheese and charcuterie boards could be coming as well along with dry-aged pork, tapas-style shareable plates, and more.

In addition to the restaurant--which will also include a bar with seating for approximately 24--the Block will have a market that will focus on local products.
