Pho Station Is Opening in Wellesley Hills

A new Vietnamese restaurant is planning to open in the western suburbs of Boston.

Kiat Cormier of the ChewOnThis Facebook group page is reporting (via an earlier article from The Swellesley Report) that Pho Station is looking to open in Wellesley Hills, moving into a space on Washington Street across from the commuter rail station that had been home to CrepeBerry restaurant. The post from The Swellesley Report mentions that the upcoming eatery will have 24 seats and the space may also be used for cooking classes and cultural nights as well, while a new article indicates that it could be opening within the next few weeks.

The address for Pho Station is 352 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA, 02481.

CrepeBerry in Wellesley Hills Is Closing

A creperie and cafe in the western suburbs is getting ready to close down after being in business for six years.

According to a source, CrepeBerry in Wellesley Hills is shutting its doors later this month, with a post on its Facebook page from owner Amelia Childs Schwartzman saying the following:

To my beloved customers, the time has come to close our doors. Our last day in business will be October 28th. This was not a decision I made lightly and there were many factors to consider. We emerged the other side of the pandemic with record inflation, skyrocketing labor costs, and a staffing shortage which has been nothing short of frustrating. Beyond these factors that are [affecting] all small businesses right now there's also the fact that MY life looks so much different! I went into the pandemic working open to close seven days a week with an easy 15 minute commute and came out the other side a wife and a mother to a beautiful little boy...with a three hour round trip commute to Wellesley from the South Shore each day....it is time for me to enjoy these moments with my own little family.

CrepeBerry first opened in 2017, offering such items as crepes, toast, bagels, salads, bowls, wraps, coffee, tea, and smoothies.

White's Bakery and Cafe Is Opening in Wellesley

A trio of bakeries located south of Boston will be joined by a fourth, with this one opening west of the city.

The Wellesley Townsman is reporting what The Swellesley Report had mentioned earlier, that White's Bakery and Cafe is planning to open on Washington Street in Wellesley Hills, taking over the space in the Playhouse Square building where a location of TD Bank had been. Once it opens, the new spot will join other locations in Brockton, Hingham, and Mansfield, and based on the items offered at those locations, expect to find breakfast items, pies, cakes, breads, cookies, and more at the Wellesley shop.

If all goes as planned, the new location of White's Bakery and Cafe could be opening this fall.
