Crepe & More Is Opening Inside Boston's South Station

A new crepe place is on its way to Boston, and it will be catering mainly to commuters.

Eater Boston is reporting (via a licensing board page) that Crepe & More is planning to open at a kiosk inside South Station, with the hearing notice indicating that Lea Sasportes of Amorino in the Back Bay (and eventually, Cambridge's Harvard Square) is behind the business. According to Eater, the upcoming spot will feature sweet and savory crepes along with other desserts and specialty drinks, and while it will not have its own seating, customers can opt for public seating within the building itself.

Amorino is a Paris-based chain of artisan gelato shops that first opened on Newbury Street in March of 2015; an earlier article in Boston Magazine mentioned that the Boston location will apparently be "the first of [Sasportes's] many owned and operated franchises around the country."

Dore Creperie Opening in Downtown Boston

A new dining spot featuring crepes and more is getting ready to open in the heart of Boston's downtown area.

According to their Facebook and Twitter pages, Dore Creperie is going to be opening at the corner of Beacon Street and Tremont Street, possibly moving into the space where Pressed Sandwiches used to be (we will try to confirm this as soon as we can). It looks like the new eatery will be open for breakfast and lunch on weekdays and lunch on weekends, and the place will be serving both lunch crepes and dessert crepes. The Facebook page for Dore indicates that the restaurant will have outdoor seating, and will offer delivery as well as takeout.

Expect an early June opening for Dore Creperie. [June 20 update: According to their Twitter page, Dore Creperie is now open.]

La Creperie in Cambridge's Harvard Square Has Closed

It looks like a dining spot in Cambridge's Harvard Square neighborhood that featured crepes has closed its doors.

According to the Boston Herald's Forklift blog, La Creperie on Mass. Ave. appeared to be closed, with a sign on the window and furniture taken out of the space. A call placed to the eatery seems to have confirmed this, as their phone number is no longer in service. [January 11 update: An article in The Harvard Crimson has confirmed that La Creperie has closed, but the owner of the eatery will continue to serve crepes at his other restaurant--Canteen, which is just down the street on Mass. Ave. heading toward Central Square.]

La Creperie (which was also known as Arrow Street Crepes) featured an array of vegetarian and non-vegetarian crepes, including ones with baby spinach, melted brie, spiced pears, green apples, bacon, smoked ham, smoked lamb sausages, and chicken. The restaurant also offered "sweet" crepes, salads, and fruit smoothies.

Pejamajo Cafe Opens in Holliston

A new cafe featuring crepes has opened in Holliston. Pejamajo, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, features soups, salads, and panini sandwiches in addition to a wide variety of crepes. Some of the crepes served at Pejamajo include ham and gruyere, buffalo chicken, tomato and basil, lemon and berries, key lime, and smores.
