290 Main Restaurant and Lounge Opens in Malden
A new upscale restaurant and martini lounge has opened just outside of Malden Center, replacing a neighborhood bar that recently closed. 290 Main Restaurant and Lounge looks to be a trendy, sleek dining and drinking spot, with mostly traditional and contemporary American cuisine including steak and seafood dishes. The lounge side has sofas and love seats, and features a wide variety of wines, high-end liquors, and cocktails.
290 Main is located where Veez Grille and Tap used to be, just south of the downtown area (across Route 60).
Hours for 290 Main are 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM Monday through Saturday, and 1:00 PM to 12:00 AM on Sunday.

it's always interesting to see how the word "upscale" translates to Malden. Not holding my breath on this one...but eager to check it out!
Been here and it's great. Food is incredible and the lounge is very cool. Couched, flat screen tvs everywhere. Martinis were good too. It's not too busy yet, but once people check it out it will be packed. It makes you forget you are in malden!
