An upscale Italian restaurant in the Back Bay of Boston has morphed into a dining spot with a new (but familiar) name and some changes to its menu. According to the restaurant's website, Sasso on Huntington Street is now called Lucca Back Bay, taking the name from its parent restaurant on Hanover Street in the North End.
Sasso had been run by the Lucca family, so ownership remains the same, but the menu at the new dining spot is a bit different, with classic regional Italian dishes at mostly moderate prices. Menu items include such dishes as ravioli, tagliatelle with chicken, rigatoni with braised boar, mint-marinated salmon, and fennel-glazed pork tenderloin.
Lucca Back Bay is open nightly from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, with drinks served until 2:00 AM. The address is: Lucca Back Bay Restaurant and Bar, 116 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA. The phone number is (617) 247-2400. And for now, the website is at the old Sasso site: http://www.sassoboston.com/
