The people behind a two-night "pop-up" restaurant in the South End of Boston last month are working on a second, three-night pop-up spot, with this one being held at a cafe in the Union Square section of Somerville.
A post on the wheretoeat.in website indicates that Bloc 11 on Bow Street will be the site of the upcoming pop-up restaurant, which will be held January 14-16, 2011, and will include five-course prix fixe meals prepared by Will Gilson of Garden at the Cellar in Cambridge (event organizer and well-known Twitter figure Aaron Cohen of Eat Boston is also involved once again). The menu on the first two nights appears to be the same, with such items as a whiskey-cured cigar-smoked salmon with sunchoke rosti and a coffee-rubbed pork tenderloin being offered, while the menu on the last night is slightly different (the last night is vegetarian night), including sunchoke rosti with eggplant puree and a winter vegetable and bean cassoulet.
Ticket prices for each night are $60, which the price including meal, tax, and gratuity. Hors d'oeuvres are served starting at 7:00 PM each night, with seating for dinner taking place at 7:30.
Bloc 11 is at 11 Bow Street, which is just northwest of the intersection with Somerville Avenue and Washington Street in Union Square.
