Sebastians Cafe and Catering Is Opening a New Location Near Symphony Hall

A small local chain of cafes that also does catering is planning to open a new location, with this one being near the western edge of the Back Bay.

According to Adam's Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog, Sebastians Cafe and Catering is going to be opening in the Church Park apartment building on Mass. Ave. near Symphony Hall (just north of Huntington Avenue) where a location of Au Bon Pain used to be. The article indicates that while there does not appear to be a specific opening date, a sign on the window of the space mentions that the cafe will be opening as soon as possible.

[December 8 update: According to their website, the new Sebastians on Mass. Ave. is now open.]

Sebastians first started out in 1993 as a catering operation, eventually expanding to include five fast-casual cafes on Summer Street, Devonshire Place, and High Street in downtown Boston, Seaport Boulevard along the waterfront, and 7 Cambridge Center in Cambridge's Kendall Square. The chain features soups, salads, sandwiches, and hot entrees, including rotisserie chicken.

The address for this new cafe in the Back Bay is: Sebastians Cafe and Catering, 251 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA, 02115. The website for all of the Sebastians restaurants can be found at http://www.sebastians.com/
