Doc Popcorn Is Opening at Boston's South Station

A small chain of popcorn carts and kiosks is getting ready to open its second New England location, with this one being at Boston's South Station.

According to their website, Doc Popcorn is going to be opening within the South Station concourse on Atlantic Avenue at the edge of the Financial District. A variety of all-natural flavors will be available at the kiosk, including classic kettle popcorn, cheddar cheese, jalapeno pepper, and sweet butter. Patrons will be able to try free samples at Doc Popcorn, and gift tins can be purchased as well. The folks behind the popcorn kiosk are also going to have a mobile popcorn cart that can be used for events or parties.

Currently, Doc Popcorn has a cart in Mystic, CT, with nearly 30 other carts and kiosks scattered across the country (and more to come). In addition to their Boston location, they are also going to be opening a kiosk in New York City.

The Doc Popcorn chain was founded in Colorado in 2003.

A poster on Chowhound mentions that Doc Popcorn may be having a soft opening as early as tonight.

[November 7 update: According to one of our readers below (and confirmed on the chain's Facebook page), Doc Popcorn is now open at South Station.]
The address for this new kiosk at South Station is: Doc Popcorn, 720 Atlantic Avenue (South Station Train Concourse), Boston, MA, 02110. Their website can be found at: http://www.docpopcorn.com/
