A Spoonful of Ginger Coming to the Museum of Fine Arts, March 26, 2012

A culinary event that focuses on a popular spice--and raises money for a good cause--returns once again to the Museum of Fine Arts in March.

An email sent to us by Regan Communications indicates that the Eighth Annual Spoonful of Ginger is going to be held at the new Art of the Americas wing at the MFA on Monday, March 26 starting at 6:30 PM. This year, guests will be able to taste ginger-based dishes from such chefs as Jasper White of Summer Shack, Joanne Chang of Flour Bakery and Myers + Chang, Jose Duarte of Taranta, Jacky Robert of Petit Robert Bistro, and Gordon Hamersley of Hamersley's Bistro. The event helps raise money for the Joslin Diabetes Center's Asian American Diabetes Initiative (AADI), whose goal is to enhance the quality of life and health outcomes for Asian Americans who are living with diabetes, as well as working with Joslin to find a cure.

Tickets to the 2012 Spoonful of Ginger cost $250 each and can be ordered by phone at (617) 732-2512 or by email at Kevin.Hudson@joslin.havard.edu.
