Boston Bites Back to Raise $1 Million for The One Fund

A food-based fundraiser that will raise a huge amount of money for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing is coming to one of Boston's most beloved venues this month.

One Wednesday, May 15, Boston Bites Back (BBB) will be held at Fenway Park from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with 100 area chefs participating (including Ken Oringer and Ming Tsai, who are helping set it up with Governor Patrick, Mayor Menino, and ARAMARK). Boston Bites Back, whose goal is to raise $1 million for The One Fund, will feature tastings from an array of chefs along with an online auction that leads up to the event, and there will be a total of 5,000 general access tickets available.

The cost to attend Boston Bites Back is $200, with 200 VIP tickets also available at $1,000 each, which allows for additional access to a gathering in Fenway's EMC Club.

[May 14 update: According to the event's website, Boston Bites Back now has $100 tickets available as well, with these tickets being good for general admission to the event after 8:00 PM.]

[May 22 update: A followup to the event that took place last week--the folks behind Boston Bites Back are trying to surpass the $1 million goal, with a Facebook post mentioning that they "have '8' days to rally and encourage folks to Bid, Bid, Bid on [an] online auction."
