On Friday, May 10 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Taste of the North End will take place at the DCR Steriti Memorial Ice Rink on Commercial Street, and it is going to be celebrating its 20th year with samplings from 35 North End restaurants, along with wine and beer and a silent auction. And this year, first responders will receive free entry to the event and a portion of the proceeds will be going to the One Fund Boston, which is helping raise money for victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. (Proceeds will also be going to a variety of non-profit organizations in the North End, including education, elderly, and health programs.)
A few of the eateries that will be at the event include Al Dente, Aragosta, Cantina Italiana, Fiore, Il Panino, J. Pace, La Summa, Mamma Maria, Massimino, Modern Pastry, Neptune, Pagliuca, Quattro, Taranta, Tresca, and Vito's Tavern.
