A couple of months ago, we mentioned that an eclectic restaurant in the Bay Village section of Boston closed its doors, with a new eatery possibly moving into the space. Now we have confirmed that a new spot will indeed be opening there, and a well-known restaurateur is involved with it.
The Boston Herald is reporting that Harry's Food & Drink will open in the former Geoffrey's Cafe space on Berkeley Street, and that Jason Santos (Blue Inc., Abby Lane) may be overseeing the culinary operations of the dining spot. The article says that local interior designer and Food Network/HGTV personality Taniya Nayak will be working on the design of the place, and that partners behind the restaurant include ex-Boston Redevelopment Authority official Harry Collings along with Daniel Moon and restaurant/nightclub owners Felix Paige and William Gateman.
According to the Herald, the new place will be a casual comfort food spot with "a more updated, current version of vintage Hollywood."
Thanks to Eater Boston for bringing this to our attention.
