Update: Ostra Is Opening in Boston's Back Bay

[Ed note: This article was updated on July 22 to reflect a new name for the place--Ostra, rather than Columbus Fish & Oyster, which had been the original name given. (Thanks to Zagat and Eater Boston for this information.)]

The folks behind several well-known dining spots in the Boston area are going to be opening a new seafood restaurant in the Back Bay.

A job post on the Craigslist site indicates that Ostra will open in the neighborhood, with the Columbus Hospitality Group (Mistral, Sorellina, Teatro, Mooo, L'Andana) opening the spot. It looks like the new eatery could be up and running fairly soon, as the post says that they are "currently searching for Full Time Executive Sous Chefs and Sous Chef positions starting at the beginning of August."

[July 8 update: The BostonChefs.com jobs section indicates that Ostra is planning to open sometime in the fall. Also, the Restaurant Hub blog of The Boston Globe reports that it will be moving into the former Avila space on Charles Street South (Avila closed late last month).]

[July 22 update: Eater Boston states (via Zagat) that the new restaurant will be called Ostra rather than Columbus Fish & Oyster--as mentioned above--and that it will be an upscale seafood spot.]

[November 15 update: The Restaurant Hub blog of The Boston Globe mentions that that Ostra is planning to open in late November.]

[November 26 update: The Boston Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog says that Ostra is apparently opening this Friday (November 29).]
