Wagamama Is Opening in Lynnfield

A few years ago, we reported that a small global chain of Japanese noodle houses was looking to continue its expansion through the Boston area. Now we have learned that a fourth location will indeed be coming to the region, with this one being in an upcoming open-air retail center north of the city.

A Twitter post sent to us today indicates that Wagamama is coming to MarketStreet Lynnfield, a development that will soon open near the intersection of Routes 128/95 and Walnut Street. Once it opens, the new ramen bar will join existing locations in Boston's Faneuil Hall, the Prudential Center in the Back Bay, and Harvard Square in Cambridge. These happen to be the only three locations of Wagamama in the entire United States, with others being found in various parts of the world, including Ireland, Denmark, Turkey, Qatar, and Australia.

[October 28 update: A Facebook post from the restaurant indicates that the new Wagamama in Lynnfield is opening this Wednesday (October 30).]

A few other restaurants that are opening at MarketStreet Lynnfield include Davio's, Fugakyu, Kings, Legal C Bar, Otto Pizza, and the Yard House.
