The Lexington Patch is reporting that the folks behind Il Casale on Chandler Street are planning to open another spot in the location on Mass. Ave. in Lexington Center where Nourish has been since the summer of 2009. According to the article, the Lexington Board of Selectmen have already approved the transfer of a liquor license from Nourish to Il Casale, and that the new location of the eatery could be opening in the spring of 2014. Based on the menu at the original restaurant in Belmont, expect to see traditional Italian dishes made using fresh ingredients.
[December 5 update: A bit more info on the upcoming spot--a note from the restaurant indicates that the new Il Casale in Lexington will indeed be a second location (not a move) and that it will be more of an osteria-style place. [A post from The Restaurant Hub blog of The Boston Globe actually says that the new spot may be called "Il Casale Osteria," and it will have a similar menu to the original restaurant in Belmont.)]
