Precinct Kitchen + Bar Is Opening in Boston's Back Bay

A new restaurant and bar is coming to the Back Bay of Boston, and it appears that it will be taking over the space within a hotel where an Irish pub used to be.

An press release sent this week indicates that Precinct Kitchen + Bar plans to open within the Loews Hotel on Stuart Street, apparently moving into the space where Cuffs had been. An article in Eater Boston mentions that a Facebook page for the eating and drinking spot (which has since been taken down, it appears) shows it may be focusing on New American fare and will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. The opening of Precinct Kitchen + Bar is part of an ongoing renovation of the hotel, with the restaurant expected to open later this month, according to the release.

[March 11 update: The Restaurant Hub of The Boston Globe mentions that Precinct Kitchen + Bar will have a charcuterie station with local cheeses and cured meats from family farms, and a menu that focuses on seafood. It will also have a patio with two fire pits, with that debuting around the the end of April.]

[March 31 update: Eater Boston states that Precinct Kitchen + Bar opens its doors today.]

As Eater Boston indicates, there seems to be no connection between Precinct Kitchen + Bar and Precinct Bar in Somerville's Union Square, which is currently closed for renovations.

The address for the new Precinct Kitchen + Bar (and the Loews Hotel) is 350 Stuart Street, Boston, MA, 02116. The website for the hotel is at http://www.loewshotels.com/en/Boston-Hotel/
