Sweet Cupcakes Is Taking Over the Former Isabelle's Curly Cakes Space in Boston's Beacon Hill

A local group of cupcake shops is going to be opening a new location in the heart of Boston, with this one moving into the space of a former cupcake shop that was run by a celebrity chef/restaurateur and his daughter.

According to a post sent to us on Twitter, Sweet Cupcakes is going to be opening on Charles Street in Beacon Hill where Isabelle's Curly Cakes used to be. A picture on the Twitter site from the group of shops confirms this, showing that it will be "coming soon." Once it opens, this will be the sixth location of Sweet Cupcakes, with the others being on School Street in downtown Boston, Mass. Ave. and Newbury Street in the Back Bay, Brattle Street in Cambridge's Harvard Square, and Chestnut Hill Square in Chestnut Hill.

[June 1 update: The Boston Globe reports that Sweet Cupcakes is planning to open its new Charles Street location this week.]

Todd English and his daughter Isabelle first opened Isabelle's Curly Cakes on Charles Street in late 2010, with the shop closing earlier this year for "renovations." (It never reopened.)

The address for this new cupcake shop in Beacon Hill is: Sweet Cupcakes, 81 Charles Street, Boston, MA, 02114. The website for all of their shops can be found at: http://www.sweetcupcakes.com/
