Brian Poe Buying Equity Stake in Bukowski Tavern Locations; Menu Changes on the Way

A familiar name within the Boston restaurant scene is going to be bringing some changes to a pair of popular dining and drinking spots in the area.

The Boston Business Journal is reporting that Brian Poe (Rattlesnake, Estelle's, Tip Tap Room) is buying an equity stake in Bukowski Tavern, which has locations in Cambridge's Inman Square and Boston's Back Bay. As mentioned here last week, the Inman Square location is closed while renovations are taking place, and it appears that Poe will be involved in that location first, followed by the Back Bay location soon after. Expect to see a more upscale menu at both spots, with exotic meats included along with a focus on burgers--though the "mug club" will remain in place.

Gordon Wilcox is the person behind both Bukowski Taverns along with several other restaurants, including the Rattlesnake, Estelle's, and the Tip Tap Room).

It looks like the Inman Square location of Bukowski could reopen (with menu changes in place) sometime this fall, while menu changes to the Back Bay location could happen by the end of the year, according to the BBJ.

Thanks to Drew Starr for bringing this to our attention.
