Monica's Mercato Pizzeria Rosticceria Is Opening in Boston's North End

It looks like a new pizza shop is on its way to the North End of Boston.

Eater Boston is reporting that Monica's Mercato Pizzeria Rosticceria is going to be opening underneath its food shop on Salem Street (entrance via the alley around the corner), with a tipster for EB saying that it could be ready in two or three weeks. Once it opens, expect both slices and whole pies to be offered, and the pizzeria's hours should be the same as that of the market.

[November 17 update: A check with Monica's Mercato indicates that the pizzeria opens its doors today at 11:00 AM.]

Monica's Mercato is owned by the same people who are behind Vinoteca di Monica on Richmond Street and Trattoria di Monica on Prince Street.

The address for Monica's Mercato (and the pizzeria below) is 130 Salem Street, Boston, MA, 02113. Its website can be found at http://www.monicasboston.com/
