According to a Twitter post from @DGoodison (via a Licensing Hearing page within the City of Boston website), Cosi is planning to open on Boylston Street, confirming what the Boston Business Journal had mentioned in an article earlier this year. Once it opens, the new location of Cosi will join other shops on Federal Street, High Street, Milk Street, and State Street in downtown Boston along with others at South Station, on Seaport Lane in the Seaport District, at Logan Airport, and at MIT in Cambridge.
Boston-based Cosi first started out in the mid-1990s and currently has approximately 150 locations across the country. The chain focuses mainly on soups, salads, and sandwiches.
