Wahlburgers to Open at Logan Airport in East Boston

A burger restaurant on the South Shore that has a couple of well-known celebrity brothers behind it--and is in the process of expanding--has announced further expansion plans, with a new location just announced for Boston.

A press release sent today indicates that Wahlburger will be opening at Logan Airport in East Boston, entering an agreement with SSP America, which is a division of SSP Group. This is one of two airport restaurants announced today, with another coming to Toronto's Pearson Airport, and it will be the fourth location in the Boston area with others on Brookline Avenue in the Fenway and at MarketStreet Lynnfield joining the original location in Hingham. The release also says that a deal to open 20 locations in the Middle East has also been secured, and that six outlets will come to Long Island, five to Manhattan, and one to Coney Island.

[May 18, 2016 update: The new Wahlburgers at Logan Airport has not yet opened, but it looks like the eatery is getting ready to debut, as a Craigslist post mentions that it is having a "Grand Opening Job Fair" tomorrow (Thursday, May 19).]

Chef and restaurateur Paul Wahlberg and his brothers--actors/pop stars Mark and Donnie--first opened Wahlburgers in Hingham in 2011. The website for the restaurant can be found at http://wahlburgers.com/
