Antonio's Pizzeria Opens in Former Hi-Fi Pizza Space in Dorchester's Fields Corner

A brand new pizza spot has come to a Boston neighborhood, taking over the space where another pizzeria had been until being seized by the state.

According to an article in the Dorchester Reporter, Antonio's Pizzeria is now open in Dorchester's Fields Corner area, with the eatery moving into the former Hi-Fi Pizza spot on Dorchester Avenue. The post says that like Hi-Fi before them, the new pizza place features thin-crust Italian-style pies, and the pizza chef at Antonio's has actually merged his own pizza recipe with that of former employees of Hi-Fi.

As reported earlier, Hi-Fi Pizza had been seized by state revenue officials for nonpayment of taxes in April of 2014, which was the second time it had been shut down by the commonwealth (the first being in January of 2013 for the same reason). Hi-Fi Pizza had been in business since 1964, according to the Reporter.

The address for this new pizza spot in Fields Corner is: Antonio's Pizzeria, 1508 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, MA, 02122.
