Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar in Boston's Back Bay Has Closed for Construction

An upscale Mexican restaurant and tequila bar in Boston's Back Bay has closed its doors for the time being.

According to an email sent this afternoon, Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar is temporarily closed for construction, with the Dartmouth Street dining and drinking spot saying in a Facebook post that "We need a little time to refresh." The email mentions that Lolita will reopen with "new design features" in the early part of 2017, though no specific opening date has been given as of yet.

Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar first opened on Dartmouth Street in late 2010, moving into the space where Papa Razzi had been before it moved to Newbury Street. A new location of Lolita had been proposed earlier this year, with that restaurant possibly coming to Fort Point.

The address for Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar is 271 Dartmouth Street, Boston, MA, 02116. Its website can be found at http://www.lolitatequilabars.com/

[February 12, 2017 update: Based on a new Facebook update from the place, Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar remains closed, and it is not yet known when it will reopen and what kinds of changes are coming.]
