PizzaRev at the CambridgeSide Galleria in East Cambridge Has Closed

A small California-based chain of pizza shops has left the Boston area (and New England) after only a brief stay.

According to a source, PizzaRev at the CambridgeSide Galleria in East Cambridge is no longer in business, with a check on the chain's website confirming this (its locations page for Cambridge has been taken off the site). The chain first opened at the Galleria last August, featuring "craft your own" pizza with a number of dough, sauce, cheese, and topping combinations available.

PizzaRev, which is headquartered in Los Angeles, started out in 2012 and now has nearly 50 locations across the country; with the closing of its Cambridge outlet, the closest shops to Boston are now on Long Island in New York.

The website for PizzaRev can be found at http://pizzarev.com/

Their pizza was awful. It was like a large cracker with cheese melted on it. This is probably why they went out of business.
