Elton's Roast Beef & Pizza in Arlington Center Has Closed

It looks like a suburban sandwich shop and pizzeria has shut its doors for good.

According to a page on the Support Arlington Center site, Elton's Roast Beef & Pizza on Mass. Ave. is no longer in business, with the space being labeled as "vacant" while the shop has been locked up and dark for at least a week. Elton's first opened in Arlington Center in 2009, replacing Steve's House of Pizza; the shop offered salads, pizza, calzones, hot and cold sandwiches and subs, pasta dishes, grill items, and more.

As soon as we find out what might be going into the former Elton's space, we will post an update here.

The address for the now-closed Elton's Roast Beef & Pizza was 478 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington, MA, 02474.

[April 27 update: The Arlington Advocate has confirmed that Elton's Roast Beef & Pizza has closed, with town economic development coordinator Ali Carter saying that it has indeed shuttered; Carter did not give a reason for the closure, but mentions that she has talked with the landlord about it.]
