Jimmy John's in Boston's Fenway/Audubon Circle Neighborhood Has Closed

by Marc Hurwitz

It looks like yet another Boston-area location of an Illinois-based chain of sandwich shops has closed, and only a few now remain in the region.

According to a source, Jimmy John's in the Fenway/Audubon Circle section of the city is no longer in operation, with the windows being papered over. A check on the chain's website seems to confirm this, as the Park Drive location is no longer on the locations page. This is one of a number of shops that have closed of late in and around Boston, including locations in Allston/Brighton, Newton, Salem, Watertown, Quincy, and Braintree, all of which are gone. Outlets in Boston's Theatre District, North Station, South Boston, and Waltham appear to remain open, based on the website.

Jimmy John's first came to the Boston area in 2014 when it opened a shop on D Street in Southie; the chain got its start in Charleston, IL, in 1983.

The address for this now-closed sandwich shop in the Fenway/Audubon Circle area was: Jimmy John's, 512 Park Drive, Boston, MA, 02215. The website for the chain is at https://www.jimmyjohns.com/
