Three Aces Pizza, a sub shop and pizza place located between Porter Square and Harvard Square in Cambridge, has shut down. According to the Cambridge Chronicle and Wicked Local, this late-night favorite among the bar crowd apparently had to close its doors because Harvard University is expanding into this block (the building is owned by Harvard Real Estate). The newspaper went on to say that the former owner of Three Aces stated he was forced to close by the university when they did not renew his lease.
Three Aces Pizza had been located at 1613 Massachusetts Avenue, just north of Harvard Square. They featured soups, salads, wraps, subs, pizza, and calzones, as well as a handful of dinner entrees.
