[NOTE: This article contains some important corrections, as we had mistakenly reported that the Milky Way Lounge will be closing. It is not, and will indeed be following Bella Luna to the new location in the Brewery Complex; it is just the bowling alley that will not be moving with them. Sorry for the confusion on this...]
Jamaica Plain will soon be seeing a beloved restaurant and lounge complex moving to a new location.
According to a press release from Image Unlimited Communications, Ltd., Bella Luna and The Milky Way Lounge on Centre Street will soon be relocating, with the process starting on March 21. And while both Bella Luna, a popular Italian eatery, and the Milky Way, a lounge and bowling alley that had been a favorite hangout for years, will be reopening at the Brewery Complex on nearby Amory Street in early to mid April, the bowling alley will sadly not be making the trip to the new digs. Features such as Skee Ball and other great things like Free Parking and a Teen Music Program will be offered at the new location, however.
Both businesses will be closing on Centre Street on March 21, with a "parade" from the old location to the new Amory Street location for Bella Luna and the Milky Way on March 22. For more information on this New Orleans-style event, please check back at the Milky Way/Bella Luna site at http://www.milkywayjp.com/ as "moving day" approaches.
