Another Grassfields may be coming to the Boston area, though it looks to entail name, menu, and cosmetic changes of an existing restaurant than the creation of a completely new dining spot.
According to the Salem News, Nick & Tony's Italian Grill in Danvers may be changing its name to Grassfields and reworking the interior of the restaurant as well as its menu (it would change from Italian cuisine to more tradition American fare). The newspaper goes on to say that although town selectmen approved the changes, another hearing (centering around the liquor license) will be needed before changes can officially begin. [November 19 note: Grassfields in Danvers is open.]
Two other Grassfields presently exist in the Boston area, with one located on Lexington Street in Waltham and the other being on Route 28 in Andover. The restaurants specialize mostly in steak and seafood.
