Earlier today, a combination restaurant/boutique in the Fort Point neighborhood of Boston appeared to be closing its doors, possibly as early as this weekend. According to several sources, including a very reputable one (
Citysearch Boston), Achilles-Persephone (which is also known as The Achilles Project), was apparently getting ready to close down after being in business for about a year and a half. But in a message sent to us by the restaurant/boutique on Thursday evening, The Achilles Project is, in their words, "alive and kicking." They also had an ad on their Facebook page saying that "To make room for fall we're having the biggest sale of the summer."
But as of Friday (July 31), there were repeated confirmations of The Achilles Project closing by the end of the upcoming weekend, including a reaffirmed confirmation by Citysearch Boston.
So is Achilles-Persephone closing, or are they staying open? Perhaps we'll know for sure come Monday, but at this point we are going with Citysearch's comment that they are closing once the weekend is over. Stay tuned....
