Dedham is about to get a new restaurant, as the opening of a casual upscale French bistro with a familiar name may be happening later this month.
According to The Daily News Transcript, Aquitaine will open in the new Legacy Place development near the intersection of Routes 1 and 128, with the opening date apparently being somewhere around August 22. The newspaper mentions that Aquitaine will have both indoor and outdoor dining, with a capacity of 185. [ED NOTE: As of August 27, Aquitaine still wasn't open, but it does look to be very close to opening its doors - see comment below from one of the Aquitaine partners.]
This will be the third restaurant of its kind, with other Aquitaine locations in the Chestnut Hill section of Newton and the South End neighborhood of Boston (the Aquitaine Group also owns Gaslight, Metropolis, and the Union Bar and Grille, all in the South End).
Legacy Place is a brand new shopping center in Dedham that is due to open later in August. In addition to Aquitaine, diners will also have the option of going to such places as Kings, Legal Sea Foods, and P.F. Chang's.
