A burger place in the heart of Brookline Village is closing, and a new dining spot looks to take its place later this year. According to both the Brookline TAB and Grub Street Boston, Franky 'N the Boys will be replaced by Cutty's, a restaurant that will feature "handcrafted food" and should be opening sometime in December. [December 2 update: According to a Boston Globe article, Cutty's looks like it will now be opening in January.]
Franky 'N the Boys was a casual retro-style dining spot that featured griddled burgers with a variety of toppings, as well as fries, onion rings, and shakes. The restaurant first opened for business in the summer of 2008.
For those interested in where Franky 'N the Boys was, and where Cutty's will be, the address is 284 Washington Street in Brookline, near the Harvard Street intersection.
