Fans of Julia Child may be interested to know that Comcast has brought a number of "The French Chef" episodes to their On Demand Service. Through a partnership With WGBH, the cable company will be offering more than 20 episodes of this public television series for free through January 4, 2010. Viewers are also able to watch the critically acclaimed movie "Julie and Julia" through the On Demand service.
Julia's Child's "The French Chef" series first premiered in 1963 and lasted for 10 years. The series began two years after the release of her now-famous book "Mastering the Art of French Cooking," which is the centerpiece of the movie "Julie and Julia," a movie that was first shown in theaters during the summer.
