It looks like a cafe in Lowell that features healthy, organic food is going to be opening a new location in the Boston area. According to a recent post on the Bistro Broad Twitter page, Life Alive is planning on opening a second spot in Cambridge, and an Internet search resulted in the finding of an old post on the Boston Vegan Association website that mentioned this as well. We also did a check on the Life Alive website today and the site did indicate that a "new store in Metro-Boston" is indeed on the way. [Update: An email from Life Alive indicated that they are hoping to open this spring in the Central Square section of Cambridge, not Inman Square as had previous been mentioned.]
The original Life Alive, which is located on Middle Street in the arts district of downtown Lowell, features a variety of vegetarian and vegan food, with their menu including soups, salads, wraps, hot entrees, and smoothies. Prices for meals generally range between $5.00 and $10.00.
It is not know at this time where the new Life Alive might be located in Central Square. We are hoping to get some more information shortly; when we do, we will post an update here.
[September 24 update: Life Alive will be located at 765 Mass. Ave. in Cambridge (at the Pleasant Street and Inman Street intersections in the heart of the square). According to the restaurant's website, an October soft opening is planned.]
[October 28 update: The new Life Alive in Cambridge is now open. For those of you who are looking for their phone number, it is (617) 354-5433.]
