Con Sol in Cambridge Has Apparently Closed

It looks like a Portuguese restaurant about midway between Central Square, Inman Square, and Kendall Square in Cambridge has shut its doors. According to posters on Chowhound and Yelp, Con Sol on Broadway is apparently no longer in business. A further check indicates that their website no longer exists, and phone calls to the restaurant have gone unanswered.

Con Sol first opened in 2006 (replacing Atasca, which currently has a location on nearby Hampshire Street), bringing to the neighborhood a dining spot that featured Portuguese and Iberian cuisine. The menu included such dishes as paella, shrimp, beef ribs, chourico, quail, and octopus.

It is not known at this time what might be going into Con Sol's space at 279 Broadway.
