A seafood restaurant in Weymouth that was open for only about two months may be reopening as a new dining spot. According to the Patriot Ledger, one of the owners of the now-closed Littlenecks Bar and Grill on Main Street is planning on opening an Asian fusion restaurant called Karma in the same space.
Littlenecks, a contemporary seafood restaurant that opened in October of 2009, shut its doors at the end of the year after they were unable to have their food and liquor licenses renewed by The Weymouth licensing board for 2010.
Though the Patriot Ledger mentions that Karma has already received common victualer, alcohol, and entertainment licenses, it appears that its opening is not imminent; as soon as we receive more information on the new restaurant, we will post updates here. One side note: According to the article, Littlenecks gift certificates will be honored at Karma when it opens.
[March 25 update: According to an article this week from the Patriot Ledger, Karma will be opening on Thursday, April 1. The new restaurant will feature hot pot (the granite tables will have hot plates), sushi, and Asian entrees, with prices looking to be under $20.]
The address for this new restaurant planned for the old Littlenecks spot will be: Karma, 1073 Main Street, Weymouth, MA, 02190.
