Lafayette Grill to Open in Salem

A new restaurant that will be focusing on pub food is coming to Salem, moving into the space where a sports bar was until closing several months ago.

According to The Salem News, the Lafayette Grill is looking to open on Lafayette Street (Route 1A) in the downtown area, replacing Casa Blanca, a nightclub that had had its share of trouble (including some violent incidents) while it was open. The article mentions that the Lafayette Grill, which will have a capacity of 140, will feature such comfort food items as grilled chicken, steak tips, and burgers.

If all goes as planned, the Lafayette Grill should be open sometime this summer, according to the article.
