The Raven's Nest Opens in Walpole

A new Irish restaurant and pub has just opened in Walpole, moving into the space where another pub had been until closing about a year and a half ago.

A Twitter message from Keith Ferguson of the Walpole Times confirmed that The Raven's Nest opened on Route 1A in Walpole Center yesterday, taking over the storefront where The Paddock used to be. An article in the Walpole Times/Wicked Local Walpole and a post on the blog of VistingNewEngland.com mention that The Raven's Nest is owned by the same people behind The Mad Raven on Main Street in Waltham, with the Times indicating that the menu will have a mix of traditional and contemporary Irish fare. The Times also says that the restaurant and pub updated the space substantially, raising the ceiling, knocking down the wall in the middle, and adding a fireplace in the back.

The address for this new Irish restaurant and pub in Walpole is: The Raven's Nest, 998 Main Street (Route 1A), Walpole, MA 02081.
