Taste of the World Coming to Boston, June 10, 2010

A culinary event that benefits a program helping inner city students is coming to Boston in early June, and a number of local restaurants that feature various ethnic cuisines will be participating. Taste of the World will be held at the City Year Building on Columbus Avenue on Thursday, June 10, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and will include culinary samplings from dining spots such as The Burren in Somerville, Danish Pastry House in Medford, Estragon Tapas Bar in the South End, Jacob Wirth in the Theatre District, Mumbai Chopstix in the Back Bay, and several others. A silent auction will also be held.

Proceeds from Taste of the World will benefit Hostelling International USA's Cultural Kitchen program, which helps inner-city students learn about culture and conflict-resolution by way of cooking.

Tickets to the event cost $60.
