Pete's Place in Stoughton Has Closed

A restaurant and bar in Stoughton Center that had been open for a little more than a year has closed its doors.

According to a poster on the Chowhound site, Pete's Place on Washington Street is no longer in business, and a "For Lease" sign is in the window. An email sent to a person who lives nearby has confirmed that Pete's has indeed shut down.

Pete's Place first opened in Stoughton in March of 2009, becoming the second Pete's to open in the area (the original, which opened about seven years ago, remains open on Washington Street in the center of Canton).

Pete's Place in Stoughton had been known mostly as a neighborhood watering hole that featured inexpensive food, a decent drink selection, trivia nights, and live entertainment.

The address for the now-closed Pete's in Stoughton was: Pete's Place, 809 Washington Street, Stoughton, MA, 02072. The address for Pete's in Canton is: Pete's Place, 614 Washington Street, Canton, MA, 02021.
