A new restaurant is planning on opening about midway between Central, Kendall, and Inman Squares in Cambridge this fall, with the owner being a well-known chef from the area.
According to the Boston Globe, Bondir is looking to open on Broadway in early October, moving into the space where the Portuguese restaurant Con Sol had been until closing this past winter. The Globe states that chef Jason Bond from the Beacon Hill Bistro on Charles Street in Boston will be the person behind the new dining spot, which will feature French-influenced dishes similar to those found at the Beacon Hill Bistro.
The article mentions that Bondir will have seating for about 25 people and will include a small bar and a fireplace. Prices for most entrees look to be in the mid-twenties, and there might be some prix fixe options as well as a tasting menu.
[November 27 update: According to the restaurant's website, Bondir is now open.]
The address for this new dining spot in Cambridge is: Bondir, 279 Broadway, Cambridge, MA, 02139. Their website can be found at: http://www.bondircambridge.com/
