Buca di Beppo to Open in Dedham and Lexington

A few weeks after reporting on Vinny T's closing their remaining restaurants in the Boston area, we have received confirmation that another Italian chain will be moving into some, but not all, of their spots.

According to the Worcester Business Journal, Buca di Beppo will be opening where Vinny T's used to be in Dedham and Lexington. The article does not mention anything about their moving into the now-shuttered Danvers location (and the Boston space will soon be home to a new restaurant called Back Bay Social Club), but it does state that Buca di Beppo will also be moving into the former Vinny T's spaces in Seekonk and Shrewsbury.

Minneapolis-based Buca di Beppo opened their first restaurant in 1993 and currently has more than 80 locations across the country, though very little presence in the Northeast. (Currently, the closest one to Boston is a location in Albany, NY.) The chain features a mix of Northern and Southern Italian fare in a family-friendly environment.

[October 19 update: According to the restaurant's website, the Lexington location of Buca di Beppo is now open. The address for it is: Buca di Beppo, 20 Waltham Street,
Lexington, MA, 02421, and the phone number is (781) 861-0162. Note: The Dedham location does not appear to be open just yet, but it should be opening very soon.]
