MooBella Brings Ice Cream Vending Machines to the Boston Area

A local company has introduced a unique concept to the Boston area; interactive vending machines that allow folks to customize their own ice cream. Taunton-based MooBella now has a number of Ice Creamery machines at various hospitals, colleges, and universities around the region, as well as machines at Logan Airport and the New England Aquarium.

According to the company's website, the three-step process of ordering ice cream through the MooBella vending machines includes picking from 12 different flavors (including mocha, black raspberry, and pistachio), choosing from three mix-in options, and picking either premium or light ice cream. The machine then blends, aerates, and freezes the ingredients (which includes 100% all-natural dairy products).

MooBella was first established in 2001, with the commercial introduction of the Ice Creamery machine coming to New England last year.

On a side note, the MooBella Twitter page mentions that WGBH's Greater Boston show will be featuring the MooBella machine at the New England Aquarium. The show airs at 7:00 PM.
